Grip seal bags
The grip seal range is plain polythene bags with a press-close strip. The category says they are made with at least 30% recycled content, so the plastic tax is not added, and that they are food approved. Sizes run from GL0 to GL15.
They suit small parts, samples and food that must stay in its own bag inside a larger carton. They are not a posted outer pack. A mailing bag is the outer. A grip seal bag is usually the inner.
Clear food bags
Clear food bags are a separate range: a premium blend, food-approved film in 100 gauge, described as the standard thickness, and 200 gauge, described as heavy duty. The category says they are used in the food trade and as sandwich bags and food storage bags.
100 gauge is the lighter bag. 200 gauge is the thicker one. The size still has to fit the food. A heavier gauge does not make a bag that is too small into the right bag.
