Two food bags
Grip seal bags are plain bags with a closure strip, listed from GL0 to GL15. The category says they contain at least 30% recycled material and are food approved. Clear food bags are a different film: 100 gauge for the standard thickness and 200 gauge for heavy duty, also described as food approved.
The grip seal bag is often the inner. The clear food bag is often the pack itself, including sandwich bags. Neither is a mailed outer. Mailing bags are the posted pack.
Ordering the gauge
Choose the closure first, then the size. A heavier gauge does not make a bag the right size for the food. 200 gauge is the thicker clear bag. 100 gauge is the lighter one.
