More than the outer carton
A packaging supplier is the place a business reorders the materials around the carton, not only the carton. Packaging Suppliers lists mailing bags, padded envelopes, kraft paper and void fill as their own ranges, because a dispatch desk runs out of those on a different week from the boxes.
The company behind the site has supplied packaging in the UK since 1954. The ranges on this domain are the supply lines: film, paper and fill, alongside the cartons the other ranges cover.
Mailers and envelopes
Grey mailing bags are described as opaque polythene, also called shoe bags, European manufactured from a blend of recycled film and 100% recyclable. They suit soft goods. Jiffy and Arofol bubble envelopes are the lined bags, and the category says we are authorised Jiffy distributors stocking Jiffy Airkraft, plus Arofol in gold and white.
Board-back envelopes are the rigid paper pack for documents that must not crease. A mailer, a padded bag and a board-back envelope are three different levels of protection. The softest goods take the mailer. A book that must stay flat takes board.
Paper and fill
Kraft paper rolls are described as ribbed, machine glazed and 88 gsm, for wrapping parcels. The eco-friendly page also describes them as recycled kraft. Kraft paper tape is a different product: it seals a carton, it does not wrap one.
Void fill takes up empty space so the goods cannot move. Loose fill, paper void fill and the corn-starch peanuts described on the eco-friendly page are the supply for that gap. Bubble wrap cushions a surface. It is not the same order line as the fill.
The same dispatch
These lines dispatch with everything else. Orders placed by 3pm leave the same day. UK delivery is free on orders over £50 ex VAT. A mixed order of mailers, paper and tape counts toward that threshold once.
Trade businesses that reorder the same materials can apply for TradePro. It starts at 5% off and goes up to 10% over £1,000 a month, with BACS as well as card and PayPal.
